Privacy Notice
Last updated 27 June 2026 · Applies to every IKEcosystem venture · This is the single source of truth.
Who we are
The IKEcosystem is a family of digital ventures operated by IKSectors Ltd (Company No. 16225153) under licence from the IKEcosystem. Your account identity is held centrally by IKCore, our shared identity service, so that a single sign-in works across every venture. This Notice applies to all of them.
What we collect & why
Depending on which ventures you use, we process: account details (name, email, and the credentials you set); the country you tell us and the country derived from your connection (to meet our legal and payment obligations); how you use a service; payment and transaction records where you buy something; and the optional "How did you hear about us?" answer described below. We use these to provide and secure your account, deliver the services you ask for, meet our legal obligations, and improve what we offer.
How we use your "How did you hear about us?" answer
When you create an IKEcosystem account we may ask, optionally, "How did you hear about us?" You can always choose "Other / prefer not to say" or leave it blank — doing so has no effect on your account, your pricing, or your access to any service.
What we collect. Only the single category you pick (for example "a social media post", "an online ad", "a friend recommended it"). We do not collect free text, and we do not use your answer to build a profile of you.
Why we use it. Two purposes: (1) to understand which marketing channels bring people to the IKEcosystem, so we can improve our marketing; and (2) where you were referred by one of our affiliates, to check — in aggregate — that our affiliates promote our services only through channels they are permitted to use. Some channels (paid advertising, email, influencer marketing) carry stricter advertising-standards and consent rules for which we are responsible; your answer, combined across many customers of the same affiliate, helps us detect an affiliate using a channel they are not authorised for.
Lawful basis — legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We rely on our legitimate interests in improving our marketing, in preventing abuse of our affiliate programme, and in meeting our own advertising-standards obligations. We have balanced these against your interests: the question is optional, the data is a single low-sensitivity category, it is never used to make an automated decision about you, and it does not affect your account, pricing, or service. You can object at any time (see Your rights).
Who sees it, and how it is held. Your individual answer is held by IKCore (our identity service). Where you were referred by an affiliate, it is shared — as a single data point tied to the referring affiliate, not to profile you — with IKAdsCampaign (our affiliate-network service), where it is analysed in aggregate at the affiliate level. The affiliate concerned does not see your answer. No decision affecting any affiliate is made from your single answer; only sustained patterns across many customers, reviewed by a person, are ever acted on, and you are never the subject of any such action.
Retention & your rights. We keep your individual answer for up to 6 months, after which we delete it or strip out anything that links it to you and keep only anonymous, aggregated statistics. If your answer forms part of an open review of an affiliate, we keep the specific records needed for that review until it (and any appeal) has concluded. You may access, object to (which may limit our ability to detect affiliate misuse), or ask us to erase your answer, as set out in Your rights.

Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access to your data; ask us to correct or erase it; object to or restrict certain processing (including the attribution use above); and ask for portability where it applies. To exercise any right, contact us below — we respond within statutory timeframes. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, our legal obligations, and the resolution of disputes. The attribution answer follows the 6-month ceiling described above.
